The best time to visit Taguig, and Metro Manila in general, is during the dry season from late November to mid-May. This period has less rainfall, lower humidity, and more sunshine, making outdoor exploration and travel between sites much more pleasant. The peak tourist season aligns with the coolest, driest months of December to February. The summer months of March to May can be very hot and humid. The rainy season from June to October brings frequent, heavy downpours and a higher chance of typhoons, which can disrupt travel plans.
Taguig reflects the dynamic contrasts of Metro Manila. Old Poblacion maintains a more traditional, community-focused feel with its historic church and public market. Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is a master-planned financial and lifestyle hub, representing modern, cosmopolitan Philippines with its clean streets, international brands, and diverse dining. Filipinos are generally warm and hospitable. A respectful demeanor is valued. In markets and older areas, polite haggling is sometimes acceptable, but prices in malls and restaurants are fixed. Dining is a social affair, and sharing dishes ('family style') is common. The pace in BGC is fast and professional, while Poblacion moves at a more relaxed, local rhythm.
